Craig A. Slavin
Craig Slavin focuses his practice on the prosecution of
patent applications for mechanical and electromechanical inventions. He has experience in prosecuting patent
applications in such diverse fields of technology as textile and facsimile
machines, laser and ink jet printers, pressure sensitive labels, semiconductor
manufacture, cellular telephones and
electrophysiological devices. His
practice also includes licensing, opinions and client counseling.
Mr. Slavin began his career in patent law as a Patent Examiner for the
U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He also worked full time as a patent agent
during his final two years of law school.
Mr. Slavin graduated from California Polytechnic State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and earned his Juris Doctorate in 1993 at the George Mason University School of Law. Before attending law school, Mr. Slavin worked in industry as a Sales Engineer for General Electric Co., representing his employer before customers in the fields of power generation, distribution and utilization.
